Every once in a while, hip-hop gets a moment of truth – a reminder that bars still matter. Montana of
300 delivered exactly that in his latest remix to Tupac’s iconic “All Eyes on Me.” The Chicago-born
lyricist honored the legend while stamping his own signature style. Fans are already buzzing about his
upcoming album, Slide for Daddy, set to drop this January, and if this remix is any indication, Montana
is in full album mode.
In his latest FireHouse Ignite interview, The Rap God opened up about what keeps him grounded amid the noise, and loyalty and brotherhood are at the top of his list. “The people I move with, it’s deeper than
music,” he explained. “I cared about them before music, beyond music. You want to be surrounded by
love at the end of the day. When you have that brotherhood, it ain’t about a dollar.” That commitment to integrity and connection sets him apart in a game often defined by numbers over relationships.

Montana also spoke on the shifting Chicago music scene, praising the rise of women artists bringing
more playful and fun energy to the culture. “It’s not all drill anymore,” he said, signaling an evolution that he’s both observing and supporting. The city is changing, and he is making sure he evolves
with it — without losing the authenticity that has defined his career.
Spirituality and responsibility also anchor his work. Reflecting on his first album, Cursed With a
Blessing, he recalled the track “Holy Ghost,” which prompted listeners to ask about his beliefs. “That’s
when I realized I was teaching, that I had a responsibility,” he said. Montana has since perfected
the balance between keeping music entertaining and staying true to his spirituality. “I know this ain’t my
audition for God,” he added— but the weight of his purpose is unmistakable.
As Slide for Daddy nears its release, fans are speculating what this next chapter will bring. January
is coming, the stage is set, and one thing is clear: all eyes are on Montana of 300, and he is officially
in full album mode.
