Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline is set to release his new memoir “You Thought You Knew,” on October 21st. The memoir recounts his past tumultuous relationship with Britney and their 2 sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The memoir also details allegations of Britney’s drug use, domestic violence, and Federline’s thoughts on the court-appointed conservatorship.

The book published by the New York Times delves into the pop stars’ alleged use of cocaine while pregnant and breastfeeding, and instances of child neglect.
The ex-backup dancer also sheds light on his childhood growing up in Fresno, CA, how he met the pop star, and the moment he proposed to Spears. He even wrote about, in his words, being “ambushed” by the unexpected divorce filing from Spears.

Federline also went into detail about the day of Spears’s infamous head-shaving incident. He claims she initially came to his home acting erratically before going to a random salon in the neighborhood and shaving her head bald.
One of the most disturbing claims Federline mentioned in the book involved their kids. He stated on multiple occasions that Sean and Jayden would wake up in the middle of the night and see Spears standing in the doorway watching them sleep with a knife in her hand. She allegedly would walk away with no explanation once she noticed the boys were awake.
Spears released a statement accusing Federline of profiting from her after the $40,000 a month child support ended, which she was paying for their sons. She also accused her ex-husband of spreading “white lies” and “gaslighting” his way to the bank.
