The Boy Is Mine Tour featuring Brandy and Monica is one of the hottest tours today. The ladies have been performing before sell out crowds across the U.S. leaving fans amazed with their pitch perfect vocals, dance moves, and stage presence. Unfortunately, fans in Chicago were left baffled over a strange incident that took place. Brandy abruptly walked off the stage mid performance at the United Center.

Videos shared on social media appear to show Brandy struggle with sound issues before leaving the stage while performing “Baby.” She was seen going to the sound booth and heard telling the audience, Give me one second, y’all. I gotta get my—.” Fans initially assumed it was a brief intermission or technical delay, but as time passed Brandy never returned leaving Monica to step up and perform solo.
Many fans showed gratitude to Monica saying she handled the situation professionally and addressed the audience with grace. The pair’s legendary duet “The Boy Is Mine,” the anthem that inspired the entire tour, was not heard that night.
Brandy has since released a statement explaining after weeks of non-stop rehearsals, she was experiencing dehydration and fatigue that led to her feeling as though she was going to faint.

The tour continued on Sunday night in Indianapolis, and the entire show went smoothly without a hitch. The ladies also closed with their hit duet that everyone was waiting for, “The Boy Is Mine.”
