Killer Mike’s Grammy Winning Night Ends With Him In Handcuffs

Rap artist Michael Render, AKA Killer Mike, dominated at the Grammy’s winning in each category he was nominated, but his night of excitement and giving thanks ended on a soar note.

Killer Mike was led away from the Grammy awards ceremony in handcuffs by The Los Angeles Police Department. Reportedly, the rap star was arrested on alleged misdemeanor battery charges following a “physical altercation.” The LAPD posted on X (formally Twitter), about the arrest.

“LAPD NEWS: Sunday Arrest Incident On Sunday February 4th just after 4pm a male adult was detained & handcuffed for a physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court. The suspect was placed under arrest and  was transported to LAPD Central Division”

In a separate post the LAPD followed up identifying the suspect as Render.

“The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Michael Render and booked for Misdemeanor Battery 243(A) PC, and is in the process of being released”.

Killer Mike was arrested after accepting his third Grammy award of the night. He took home awards for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album.
