Louisiana native Lil Boosie is at the center of a controversial situation. The principal of Northside High School was placed on administrative leave after allowing the rapper to pay a visit to the school to speak to students.
Lil Boosie was greeted with cheers and smiles from students when he stepped into the gymnasium to deliver inspirational words of wisdom to the kids. In what many felt was a kind gesture, it was frowned upon by school officials.
Lil Boosie spoke out to a Louisiana news outlet stating, “I feel bad about it man because, it was a genuine situation. All I did was said a few words to uplift the kids about life, about purpose, about things like that. The kids enjoyed it.” He went on to say, ” I went in there and gave these kids what I done been through. What not to do, what not to do, if you want to be somebody.
Shortly before visiting the high school Lil Boosie was given a plaque and proclamation designating May 10th as Lil Boosie Day in St. Landy Parish.
Lil Boosie is asking for school leaders to give the principal another chance. The Lafayette Parish School System has not released a statement in regards to to principals suspension.
