Ray J took to social media to release health news that shocked fans around the world. As you may know, he was recently hospitalized with a severe case of pneumonia. He sought medical attention after suffering from intense chest pain. This is not the 44-year-old’s first health scare. In 2021, he suffered a previous bout with pneumonia. He was reportedly placed on oxygen and thought he was going to die.
In a video Ray J shared on social media, he starts out saying, “I want to thank everyone for praying for me. I was in the hospital, and my heart is only beating like 25%, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be alright, so I thank you for all your prayers.” He then reveals several exciting new business ventures he has in the works and wraps up the video stating, “My health is not ok.” This leads many to question whether he should be taking on so many projects at this time. The pressures of new business ventures may cause additional stress and strain on his body.
Just months ago, Ray J landed in jail on Thanksgiving Day after brandishing a firearm during an altercation with his estranged wife, Princess Love. Over the years, he has been transparent about the pressures of fame, business, and public scrutiny. From managing multiple businesses to navigating personal relationships in the public eye, he has often spoken about feeling overwhelmed and even suicidal at times.
