For more than two decades, Donatella Versace has been the mastermind behind one of fashion’s most recognizable luxury brands. Now, as she prepares to step down as creative director of Versace, she’s doing it the only way she knows how, in style.
Her final campaign is not just an ad, it’s a legacy statement. The campaign features some of the original supermodels who helped define Versace, as well as some new faces. Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Amber Valletta, Anok Yai, Liu Wen, Kristen McMenamy, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Mica Argañaraz, Mila Van Eeten, and Jacqui Hooper were included in the farewell campaign.

The campaign was shot by famed photographers Mert and Marcus. Their visuals are stylish and classy, right in line with the Versace brand. Donatella released a statement about the image she was trying to capture in the campaign:
“It was all about friendship, loyalty, and love. These images were created to celebrate the soul of the Versace woman.” She went on to say, “The energy on this campaign was extraordinary. Every collection is a story, and this is the story of Versace, and I’m always ready for the next chapter.”

After stepping into leadership following her brother Gianni Versace’s tragic death in 1997, Donatella carried the brand into the 21st century, blending streetwear with couture and turning red carpets into runways. From dressing Beyoncé and Lady Gaga to creating the viral J. Lo green dress moment, Donatella made Versace a global fashion force.

Donatella’s relationship with world-renowned celebrities helped reshape the fashion industry. Under her direction, fashion became more than art, it became pop culture and empowerment. While Donatella is stepping down from her day-to-day role, she will remain an honorary board member and ambassador for the brand. Dario Vitale will take over the Chief Creative Officer position as Donatella’s successor
