Money is no option with self-made billionaire Jay-Z. He made a bold NBA Finals prediction that the OKC Thunder would beat the Indiana Pacers, winning the title in five games.

The one million dollar bet was placed on Fanatics Sportsbook, a betting platform founded by Jay-Z himself and businessman/philanthropist Michael Rubin, in 2023. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, the OKC Thunder lost the first game to the Indiana Pacers. Standout point guard Tyrese Haliburton made the winning shot, putting the Pacers ahead with 0.3 seconds left on the clock. The Pacers overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win with a final score of 110 to 111.

The rap mogul stands to gain a $2.3 million profit for the 230 odds if the Thunder defeats the Pacers.

Game two takes place Sunday, June 8, at 7pm CST on ABC.
