“My Life” produced some big hits including the title track, “My Life”, “I’m Goin Down”, “Be Happy”, and “Mary Jane”. Many of the songs on the album focused on her struggles in relationships, depression, and overcoming drug and alcohol abuse.
“My Life” sold over three million copies and was certified Platinum.
