While performing at the Riverfront Music Festival in Detroit, Michigan, singer Monica witnessed an alternation in the crowd that pushed her over the edge. A man punched a woman in the face and Monica jumped off the stage to go defend her.
Fans cheered and pulled out their phones to record as Monica powered through the crowd with security behind her to approach the man.
The incident was defused and the man was removed from the concert. Monica made her way back to the stage and apologized to the crowd for her reaction.
