Renowned artist Casablanca the Gawd, known for his gritty lyrics and compelling storytelling, is a one-of-a-kind artist. No stranger to the mic, Casablanca has been in the industry for some time. “There’s a passion that burns inside of an artist, and we ain’t talking about a rapper. It’s different from that. The energy that’s in me is from an artist’s perspective, and we make music that fans will appreciate,” Casablanca said. “I think it was long overdue, so we got the energy moving and brought you tracks that we have out now.”

“Che Noir been on the radar for a minute. She been snapping necks in the game for a minute, so of course I knew who she was. We had a song that I thought she was a fit for on the other verse, Readings on the Wall. So I talked with some people, we got it done, and brought you all Readings on the Wall produced by Veto.”
Listening to Casablanca the Gawd’s music, you will quickly notice he has elite storytelling skills. During the interview, he revealed that’s because he’s giving us real-life stories in his music. He feels lyrics are an intricate part of each song. In today’s era, many rappers have turned to the so-called mumble rap, but Casablanca keeps it authentic with every word he speaks.
“ Lyrics is very important. You want to make sure people hear your message.” He went on to say, “When you close your eyes and listen to these songs, I want you to be able to visualize what I am telling you. My stories are not stories, this is real life sh*t. My son really is doing 10 years behind bars, these stories are real. I’m giving you my life, and I hope that people can identify with what I’m trying to tell you. And hopefully them cats that need to learn from it will learn from it.”
