Tamia Marilyn Washington Hill, known professionally as Tamia, is a R&B singer, songwriter, and actress, born in Ontario, Canada. Tamia is known for her powerful and soulful vocals and has been gracing the stage before fans for over two decades.
Tamia released her self-titled debut album “Tamia” in 1998, which included the hit singles “You Put a Move on My Heart” and “Stranger in My House.” Over the years, she released a total of seven albums including, “A Nu Day” (2000), “More” (2004), “Between Friends” (2006), “Beautiful Surprise” (2012), and “Passion Like Fire” (2018).
Some of her most well-known songs include “So Into You,” “Officially Missing You,” “Still,” and “Love Me in a Special Way.” Tamia has received several awards and nominations for her work, including a NAACP Image Award. Tamia has also made appearances in television and film.
