Southern Soul Music and R&B artist Darrell Ruger is an incredible talent, born in Paris, France, but with roots that run deep in the Southern United States in Savannah, Georgia. His background has given him a unique perspective on music and has allowed him to create a sound that is a fusion of his many musical influences.

Darrell’s love for music started at a young age and he was heavily influenced by artists like Charlie Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Chris Stapeleton, Al Green, Bobby Womack, Mel Waiters and Brothers Johnson. These musicians have had a profound impact on his work, inspiring him to create a unique blend of soulful R&B with a touch of Southern charm.

Darrell, with his silky Soul Voice has been taking the southern soul music world by storm with his latest two top charting songs “Southern Soul Lady” and “Dancing Lady”. He started his career back in the late 80’s playing bass guitar and singing with several bands in Georgia and Florida. In 2007, he released his first single “Summer Groovin’” and later with the hot remake of “Let’s Do It Again” that charted back in 2019. 

With his latest album release titled “Sounds of Darrell” will take the southern soul music movement to the next level with that rhythmic sound that moves everyone that hears it
