On this day October 2, 1999, Eve Jihan Jeffers Cooper, AKA Eve, debut at number one on Billboard with “Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady.” At the young age of 20, Eve made her mark in the music industry and went on to release a total of 4 albums and 30 music videos.
Throughout her career Eve has won numerous awards including a Grammy, BET Award, MTV Award, as well as a NAACP Award.
Eve is also a successful actress and entrepreneur. She has appeared in films like “Barbershop” and its sequel, “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” as well as the TV show “Eve,” where she played the lead role. She also launched a clothing line called “Fetish”.
