Loose Ends distinctive sound is well before their time, The group was formed in 1980 and consist of guitarist Carl McIntosh along with keyboard player and founder Steve Nichol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loose Ends signed with Virgin records in 1981 and was distributed in the US by MCA Records.  Their debut album &#8220;A Little Spice&#8221; was released in 1984 but the trio achieved their first success with their second album &#8220;So Where Are You?&#8221;, which produced the hit single \u201cHanging On a String\u201d (Contemplating) in 1985.  The song reached number 13 on the British charts and number 1 on the US charts making Loose Ends the first African American-British band ever to top those charts. The separation of the band did not stop Eugene from performing for her loyal fan base over the years, Eugene went on to continue to perform as a solo act.  Her shows sold out from the West Coast to the East Coast.  Even with her busy schedule, she made a few rare appearances with media outlets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After performing as a solo act for several years, Eugene returned to her roots for multiple shows as Loose Ends featuring Jane Eugene.
