I waited to write this article so that I could get some reviews. Reviews for Mary J Blige\u2019s 2026 \u201cMy Life My Story\u201d residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM are overwhelmingly positive, with fans and critics praising her electrifying energy, powerhouse vocals, and a career-spanning setlist. Opening night was described as a non-stop party, featuring surprise guests Method Man and The LOX. One review in the Las Vegas Weekly stated it felt less like a concert and more like being invited into Blige\u2019s living room while she played her favorite records. At times, the crowd was louder than Mary J Blige while she paced her catalog with care, allowing attendees to hear music that has inspired them over the years. This only underscored how much this decades-long devoted fan base wanted to give back to an artist who has given them so much, including album hits and features like her songs with Kendrick Lamar and Ludacris. There have also been negative reviews as some fans have claimed the performance had low energy, fatigue, and minimal effort. Whelp, you can\u2019t please them all. There will always be mixed reviews depending on expectations. I suppose some people expect a 55-year-old woman to perform as she did at 25 or even 35 or 40. Sometimes I think we forget that artists are made of flesh and bone with physical limitations. Don\u2019t get me wrong, I get it. If I traveled to Vegas and paid for a ticket, I expect a very good show. I know it sounds like I am double-talking, but I am just trying to see both sides. With that said, I am still so very pleased to write this article about a woman who has weathered the storms of life and achieved such success despite it all. Mary J Blige has achieved goals that some can only dream of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
